Did you know that the National School Feeding Program (PNAE) provides meals to around 40 million students and supports, on average, 40,000 family farmers? To maximize this reach, the Comida do Amanhã Institute, in partnership with the Regenera Institute and the Fome Zero Institute, runs the PNAE Agroecológico, a program that promotes the agroecological transition of family farming through the PNAE. The goal is to increase the supply of healthy food in schools and inspire new public policies at the national level. We will work in partnership with four groups of municipalities (totaling 11 cities) and family farmers on pilot projects that will be implemented by 2028, in a movement that has already proven that agroecological transition is possible, practical, and profitable.
