Poliniza
Year in effect: 2020
Poliniza emerged from the understanding that transforming food systems also requires transforming the narratives built around food. In a context where misinformation, food-related myths and the invisibilization of the impacts of the food system prevail, Poliniza, carried out by Comida do Amanhã with support from the Heinrich Böll Stiftung Foundation – Brazil, set out to investigate how to improve the public debate, engaging multiple social actors and various communication and engagement tools.
Within Poliniza, we ask ourselves how we can disseminate to a wider audience what real food is – and is not – and how this process can engage the population.
With a focus on communication and engagement, the program brought together different actors from the field of food, communication and culture for a series of webinars. Poliniza was a space for collective construction, where we sought to listen to those who place food as a fundamental part of their work, from different areas of knowledge and expression. By stimulating new ways of addressing the topic of real food, the program helped to understand what tools and strategies can be implemented so that the agenda advances in the public debate.
