Food from the waters – two stories from Barra de Mamanguape – BoCA

In a special episode for World Ocean Day, the BoCA – Boas Conversas Alimentam podcast discusses “Blue Foods,” or foods that come from the waters, based on interviews conducted in the community of Barra de Mamanguape (PB) in June 2023. Curated by Ylana Elias Rodrigues, the episode presents the stories of Marinalva, a local shellfish gatherer, fisherwoman, and tapioca maker, and Tatá, chef at Restaurante Taperebá, offering reflections on food culture, identity, and the challenges faced by those who live from and with the sea. BoCA is a partnership between Comida do Amanhã and Nóz da Nutrição.
