In light of the opportunity to reform SISAN’s operations, LUPPA advocates for a more robust, effective, and efficient system that promotes universal food and nutritional security. The reformulation is a necessary step to respond to contemporary challenges of food and nutritional insecurity, promote social justice and equity, consolidate the role of municipal governments in combating hunger and promoting sustainable food systems, and ensure resilience to changes in government.
