Teia dos Povos – three thousand years of journey to calm the spirit of hurried people – BoCA
In this episode of the BoCA – Boas Conversas Alimentam podcast, we learn about Teia dos Povos, an association formed by indigenous peoples, quilombolas, and peasants that seeks to strengthen solidarity networks between movements, communities, and territories. Created in 2012 at the 1st Bahia Agroecology Conference, in the Terra Vista Settlement, Teia is based on agroecology and the sovereignty of peoples. Curated by Maikel da Silveira, the episode presents this trajectory through the eyes of Mestre Joelson, a historic leader in the struggle for land in southern Bahia, one of the founders of Teia, and a reference in debates on territorial sovereignty, food sovereignty, and ancestral knowledge. BoCA is a partnership between Comida do Amanhã and Nóz da Nutrição.
