Process of reactivating the municipal food security agenda in Rio Branco
This report covers the activities carried out by the Urban Food Policy Laboratory (LUPPA) between September 2021 and November 2022, in partnership with the municipality of Rio Branco, with the aim of assisting in the process of reactivating the food and nutrition security agenda in the capital of Acre. This work was an award given to cities in the Legal Amazon during the first edition of LUPPA, with Rio Branco being chosen for the municipality’s results in terms of attendance and commitment to the laboratory’s activities and the development of the anchor project: Educational Aquaponics and Hydroponics Gardens in Schools.
